Herbert Chestnut & Associates

Herbert Chestnut received his undergraduate degree from Georgia Southern University in 1979. He received his doctorate degree in 1982 from the Walter F. George school of law at Mercer University, graduating in the top 20% of his class. He is a three-time winner of Georgia Workers' Compensation Attorney of the Year and received the AV Preeminent rating. This rating is based on peer reviews from other attorneys, with only 10% of all attorneys holding this rating. He was admitted to the Savannah Bar Association in 1982 and the Bar of the United States Supreme Court in 1987. Mr. Chestnut moved his practice from Atlanta to Savannah in 2021 to concentrate on longshore claims and Georgia workers' compensation claims. He has expanded his practice to include social security, consumer protection, and fair debt collection.

Jessica Sarinana was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, and has an associate degree in paralegal studies at Savannah Technical College.  Jessica is now obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science at Georgia Southern University and anticipates graduating in early 2023.  After graduation, Jessica hopes to attend Law School and, upon completion, will return to Savannah to practice Immigration and Maritime Law.

Michael Chestnut was born and raised in Savannah, Georgia, in 1991. He attended Catholic School at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic School and continued his education at Savannah Arts Academy, where he graduated in 2009 with a focus in visual arts.  Afterward, he attended Georgia Southern University, where he graduated in 2015 with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Creative Writing. Following his father’s footsteps, he attended the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University School and joined the practice in 2020.  Michael’s legal interests include Contact law and Business litigation.
